• The accommodation was responsive, providing a private bus service for pickups and drop-offs. They even customized the dinner menu to accommodate dietary preferences, and while the food was fresh, there were some minor issues with overcooked fish.
• Room service is not available outside of dinner hours, so consider stopping by a convenience store before checking in. Meals served in the room are reasonably priced and come with great amenities like an outdoor hot spring tub and a massage chair.
• This stay featured creatively prepared dishes that varied from previous visits, showcasing the chef’s pride in presentation. However, there was an issue with the miso soup being cold due to air conditioning interference at breakfast.
• Be prepared for rules associated with a traditional Ryokan experience; non-Japanese guests might find certain aspects regimented. The tatami room is beautiful but offers limited lounging after meals, and towels could be larger for comfort in a 4-star hotel.
• Location is convenient near Arima Onsen tourist office with daily pick-up services available to various attractions. The onsen on the 7th floor is great, and complimentary drinks are provided on both ground and upper floors.
