- The overall stay at Puerta America was quite good and satisfying. One thing to note is that you might need to ask for a kettle during check-in, as it isn’t typically available in the rooms. However, there are several nice stores nearby, like Lidl and Carrefour, so getting tea or coffee won’t be an issue. The staff is friendly and helpful, especially the bellboy and porter.
- The location is pretty convenient, being close to the metro station and within walking distance of the city center (about an hour). The rooms were clean and refreshed daily, although you’ll need to request slippers at check-in. A minor downside would be the carpets with visible stains that could use some cleaning.
- I first visited in 2018 when everything looked amazing—still new and clean—but my recent stay in 2025 revealed some wear and tear. There were damages in sitting areas, scuffed walls, and a few non-working lights. While it’s not a deal breaker, the hotel definitely needs some upkeep.
