- Friendly and accommodating staff make for a welcoming atmosphere right from the start.
- The hotel looks more appealing in pictures, but the pool is mainly for aesthetics. It’s about a 20-minute drive to see the whale sharks, which is a must-do!
- Honestly, there aren’t many great places to stay in southern Cebu. Pobla Hotel is clean, modern, and quiet with stunning mountain views. Just be prepared for rock-hard beds—common across the Philippines—but the pillows are fantastic!
- The lack of blankets might be a strategy to encourage you to turn off the air conditioning. No mini fridge or TV here, but that didn’t bother us much since there are plenty of dining options nearby.
- If you’re looking for good coffee and food, there are some nice spots within walking distance. The hotel also offers convenient access to whale shark tours with pick-up services available.
- The wifi was reliable, which is always a plus when traveling.
- The only downside was the low water pressure in the shower; however, our room was clean and spacious with comfortable amenities. Plus, having warm water in the pool was definitely nice!
