  • The Mercure Bologna Centro Hotel is newly renovated and conveniently located right across from the Bologna Central station, making it super easy to get around. The lovely backyard garden is a rare find in hotels, perfect for morning strolls or relaxing on comfy outdoor furniture in the evening.
  • With its prime location, you can easily walk to various sights and food options. The hotel features a nice courtyard and lounge area, plus the reception staff are really helpful. Just keep in mind that if you’re visiting in November and it’s still warm, there’s no air conditioning available. It’s best to ask for a room away from the station to enjoy fresh air without too much noise.
  • The staff here are incredibly friendly, and I found my room to be clean and accessible even with heavy luggage. It’s definitely a plus when traveling!
  • Being right in front of the train station makes it super convenient, but just note that some rooms might have issues with heating or air conditioning. Luckily, they provided an oil heater when mine wasn’t working! The shower was a bit snug, but overall, I thought everything else was great.
  • I had an overall pleasant stay at this hotel! It’s only about 20 minutes from Bologna airport door-to-door—super handy if you’re catching an early flight. Plus, there’s a cute panino shop nearby for breakfast! Just be aware that the area can feel less safe for non-locals due to people sitting on the ground.
